Simple Cures to Cravings


Satisfy Cravings the Safe Way!

· When craving meat, have a few slices of lean lunch meat. 2.5 ounces=110 calories=12 slices! Just don’t eat the whole package!
· Craving something peanuty? Measure out a teaspoon of peanut butter, PUT AWAY the peanut butter, leave the room, and then slowly lick the spoon clean!
· Sugar is a big killer for many. Naturally sweet fruits are a good cure, as are eating SMALL quantities of chocolate powder (like Quick), or just ONE Hershey Kiss, savored slowly.
· I often get carb cravings. When this happens, it is imperative to not munch even a little! Ingesting carbs even in small quantities will lead you to crave them even more. Best cure? Exercise until YOU ARE NO LONGER HUNGRY!
· Had just about as much water, coffee, green tea, Diet Coke as you can stand and still feel empty? This is going to sound crazy, but eat a small amount of paper! Paper is made of plant cellulose- a substance that our bodies will never be able to digest. Believe me, you’ll feel full and it will just pass through your digestive track as a penny or a marble would. And no, I do not condone the eating of pennies and marbles!
Really feel like Binging? Take out your food journal. Read and re-read everything you’ve eaten today, and look through your pages, spending more time on successful days. Remember how good it felt to end those days right? Look at how much you’ve already eaten! Anymore and you will not reach your goal! Binge-Eating City is nowhere near the euphoric town of THIN!!!
